What are the specifics for the wedding day?
Please arrive on time for a 3pm ceremony start. Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place on the lawn adjacent to the rose garden. Once at Carton, you can find the ceremony space by heading outside through the glass doors directly across from the reception desks, walking through the courtyard under the stone arch, and to the lawn on the right.
If, due to weather, the ceremony space must change, we will send out information letting you all know!
Following the ceremony, guests will be invited to relocate to the gold salon and drawing room for champagne and canapes.Dinner and dancing will take place in the Carton Suite, in the new wing of the hotel.

Is your ceremony "Un-plugged"?
Yes! Our hope is that all of our loved ones remain present during our ceremony and respectfully ask our guests to honor our wish for an “unplugged” (phone-less) ceremony. We have carefully selected and hired extremely talented photographers and videographers to capture our wedding, and we promise to share those images with our guests after the event!
-
What is the dress code?
Our wedding attire is Black Tie, meaning tuxedos, dinner jackets, and floor-length gowns are appropriate. However, please don’t be afraid to show off your personal style! Black tie attire doesn’t have to mean all black.
Ireland can be chilly in August. It may be anywhere from 50-70 degrees, so be sure to check the weather forecast and plan accordingly! Ladies, please be advised that there is a short walk between the ceremony and the cocktail hour space, which is made of gravel. -
What do I need to bring to Ireland?
Please bring your passport and any necessary travel documents, Euros (not pounds, unless you plan to travel to Northern Ireland!), and your best dancing shoes.

Are my children also invited?
While we love your little ones, we are opting for an adult-only wedding ceremony and reception. We appreciate your making arrangements in advance! We have received recommendations for The Wedding Nanny, and Elisa Babysitting.
Your children are invited to celebrate with us at the Welcome Party and After Party!
